Contributing One Click at a Time

Little acts can contribute to making the world a better place - recycling, choosing a refillable water bottle, using public transportation—there are so many ways, and my favorite one only takes the click of a mouse. One click here to help save the rainforest, and then another click there will help end world hunger.

To see what I mean, run a keyword search for "click to donate" and you will find hundreds of sites: solve a word puzzle and 1 cent will be donated to underprivileged children globally; locate the countries on the map and fresh water will be delivered to those in need; memorize simple numbers and hungry families receive meals.

The more you click, the more support is donated worldwide. Based on the number of clicks from users, sponsors and advertisers can evaluate the value of the traffic and donate an equivalent amount of money, goods, or services to the given cause. That then helps the non-profit organizations to better reach their missions and goals.

Contributing to a solution in a fun and simple way—that is what makes “click-to-donate” sites popular. The best part is that clicking is affordable, even in this economy!

What I like the most about working at EAST Tours is the company's value and emphasis on cultural diversity, protecting our world, and enhancing life experiences. I like that our clients come to us not just because we are “travel experts”- but because they share the same values, and together, we are contributing to global communities through ethical tourism. Likewise, I like the idea that my clicks truly make a difference to the greater good.
